For as long as I can remember, I’ve been looking for something that just didn’t exist:
A space for digital church planters.
Not just another tech tips group or webinar.
Not a thread of Facebook posts with no comments.
And definitely not a forum that treats online spaces as a stepping stone to “real” ministry.
No, I’ve needed something different.
I needed a home for the dreamers. The weirdos. The people who see sacred potential in Twitch chats, Minecraft servers, and homebrewed D&D campaigns. People who aren’t just broadcasting sermons online—they’re planting churches there.
I waited for that kind of space. I prayed for it. I even tried to build it a few times, under the auspices of larger institutional systems.
But it never fully came together.
So, like any good nerd with a call and a stubborn streak, I stopped waiting for permission.
I’m building what I've always needed.
Here’s what that looks like:
I’m launching the Digital Missional Network—a Discord-based community for pastors, pioneers, and hopeful skeptics who believe the church can and must grow beyond the building.
It’s tethered to my Substack, Pixel & Pulpit, because if I’m going to pour my time, heart, and holy imagination into guiding this thing, it needs to be sustainable.
What’s the Plan?
The model is simple:
✅ Become a Paid Subscriber to Pixel & Pulpit
✅ Get access to the Discord
✅ Help plant the future of the church
Throughout this month, I’ll be unpacking the vision behind it all—every Wednesday and Saturday, I’ll post about the why, how, theology, and reality of planting digital churches in the places we actually live: the platforms.
I know this isn’t for everyone.
But maybe it’s for you.
If you’ve been waiting for a space like this… maybe it’s time to stop waiting.
Let’s build it together. It starts now.

Q: Why do digital planters love livestreams?
A: Because they’re all about living water in real time.
